Ok, so I have this beautiful form fillable document all ready to be published out to our end users. It is going to cut down on all types of paperwork, and save loads of time. One problem. Protection is greyed out. Not available. Someone please tell me what I have done. I created this form from scratch, no security has been put on it. I have it saved (at the moment) to my desktop as a .doc.

Anyone have any suggestions?

Thanks,
Stressed with 2hrs until deadline....

abbeyv73,

Have you closed and reopened the document? For some reason that worked for me when I had the same problem recently. Sorry I don't have anything more concrete, but I hop this helps.

Tim

No, it is greyed out. And when I go to tools / protect document, but when I get to step 3 (Start protecting document) it is inaccessible as well.

Thanks!

Do a test.

Open a new blank document. Check to see if Protect document is available. If it is, do a full copy of your form document into it. Is it no longer available?
