Form Field Problems in Word 2000

I am trying to insert a form field into a document, and as text is entered into the document, it keeps moving the text below it down onto other pages. Is there a way I can lock the text and keep it from moving text below it?
Please Help!

You could put the formfield text into a table cell, formatted with the fixed dimensions that you require.
