I have a database containing info about people in various countries and would like to set up a mask for the postal code and telephone fields which would change to match the country in question. For example, US zips are nnnnn-nnn while canadian postal codes are ana-nan and austrailian postals are nnnn. telephone formats also vary. Does anyone know of a source of such formats for various countries?

In europe you have optional entries....

my postcode would be here in Germany :

60316
D60316
D-60316

If I run across such a list I will post it here.

Hi grnzbra

I'm not sure that such a list exists anywhere.

Here in the UK we have a structure that allows the following genuine zip codes (we call them Post Codes)

NN17 9RS
LS3 1DD
W1X 3SE
EC1R 5DX
W2 4PH
RG2 3AB

If you ever find a list then I would like to know it too

Best of luck
