Hi,

I`m using Excel 2002. Is there a quick or automatic solution to force the same row/column height/width within all sheets (or certain sheets of my choice for that matter)?

Why? I have several worksheets with the same layout. I would like users to see a uniform spreadsheet when they toggle between worksheets.

For example, I have one worksheet where all the data fits nicely on one page. However, all other worksheets which have the same layout have slightly different row/column sizes, therefore, users sometimes have to scroll down a bit to see the data.

Any assistance would be great!

Regards,
Shawn

Select the entire column for all of your data (click and drag across the grey letters at the top of each column).

Copy.

Go to the destination sheet, right click in A1 and select Paste Special and check the box beside Column Widths and click OK.

Hey John,

Thanks for your reply. I'm 50% there since it only works for columns and not rows.

Thanks,
Shawn

Well, for rows you can select the entire row for as many rows as you have (click and drag down the grey letters at the right of each row).

Copy.

Go to the destination sheet, right click in A1 and select Paste Special and check the box beside Formats and click OK.

(Yes that's basically what I wrote in my first post, but I red flagged that post to have it deleted.)

Hi Shawn,

I'm sure you've already made a back-up. Then the following should work...

1) For the sheet you want to copy... click the cell above the "1" for row 1, and to the left of "A" for column A. This will select the ENTIRE sheet.

2) Then for the sheets you want to copy to... click the sheet-tab of the FIRST sheet, hold down <Shift> and click the LAST sheet. This will select ALL the sheets.

3) Now click the same "all-cells" point (left of A and above 1)

4) Then use: Edit - Paste Special - Formats

I hope this works for you. :)

Thanks Dale! This also worked, and it saves a bit more time.

Best regards,
Shawn

You really really really need to make sure you ungroup though. Grouping is great when you want it, but it causes havoc when you don't. Been there, seen it, done it, got the damn T-Shirt on that one more than once :)
