Hello All,

I'm using NetBackup Enterprise Server (v5,MP3) on Windows Server 2003 and I'm having difficulty getting backups to run to one tape.

For example: I have a policy with 2 clients on it; ideally, I would like to have both parts of that job land on the same tape. Currently, nbu grabbed 2 tapes from SCRATCH and is running each client's portion to a different tape.

I'm sure there's a simple way to do this but I haven't been able to find it.

Thanks in advance for any input on this.

Dan

Yes it is simple to do

on the "Change Policy" GUI
Enable "Limit jobs per policy"
and set the value to one.

Bob--thanks very much...I appreciate the help and the (very) quick response!

Is there a way to globally enable "limits jobs per policy" or is this parm a setting for individual policies only?

There is a global attribute "max jobs per client" on the master server's properties GUI.
or
you could create a storage unit that only has 1 drive.
