I am looking for a formula that will allow me to force a page break if there are x number of records being printed on the page.

For instance, if I have within a group 8 lines of detail and the first 2 are printing on the first page and the following 6 are on the next page, I want to force a page break so that all 8 records and the group header are displayed on the next page.

Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

what exactly do you want to do? please specify. Is that always the same that you want to hold 2 records for the first page and move the other 6 records to the second page?

Right-click on the group header or footer and choose Change Group. This lets you choose Keep Group Together and also Repeat Group Header On Each Page.

Note that in Crystal 8.5 Keep Group Together will cause the first group to start on page 2, if it cannot all fit on page 1. This happens even when it can't fit on page 2 either, but there seems no way round this.

If you have a later version of Crystal you won't have this problem. It's always helpful to give your version.
