Force Download

I'll apologize in advance and tell you right off the bat that I'm extremely new to PHP, but I'd like to have a table with available .shn (music) files for download. Each .shn file is a different link and when the user clicks on the link, I'd like to force the "Save As" box upon them. I know there is a way to do this with PHP and I think I'd do it with header calls, but other than that...I'm quite clueless.

Thanks in advance for any helpful info...I'm beginning to see the power behind PHP!

The PHP function you're looking for to set a header is called, oddly enough, header().

The HTTP header you need to set is Content-Disposition. Take a look a the example code on the online manual page for header() :
