In my report, I have an attribute: level, which has datetype: number. as "level" increases, records from new "level" will start on a new page in the report.

I checked in MS Access 'help', it talked about some ForceNewPage Property, but I don't know where and how to change its setting as "level" increases.

hope I can take care of this matter in the design grid.
suggestions please.

Tracy

Check the properties of the Footer or Detail Lines on the report in design mode. Typically, the Force New Page is in a Footer - After Printing. htwh,

thanks Steve, I played around with the ForceNewPage settings in the header/footer and detailed lines, but those are not exactly what I'm looking for. I need this setting ties with the attribute: level

in other word, after all records of level 1 are printed, no matter where in the page it ended, all records of level 2 will be printed start on a new page. same with level 3, level 4, etc.

more help needed...

Your only option is to add a Footer for Level and organize (sort) your data appropriately in my opinion.

In the past, I have created a fake field in a query to signify a new page. I accomplished this by crfeating a text field that was unique to the group of data I was using. In your example, perhaps if you concatenate a field with Level, it would be unique and could be used to signify a new page in a footer. htwh,
