MalcomnW - Thanks for your help. Have removed blank spaces (moving up) per your instructions, but still can't get TrimRight working for long fields. Have tried adding formula to field (Insert Formula Field)from the Select Expert, and from Format Field options. Insert¦Formula, click on the New icon or right click and pick new from the popup menu, provide a name, and type<br>TrimRight()<br>in the formula box (bottom window), then position the cursor between the parentheses, find the field you want to trim in list of fields in the top left window, and double click on it to insert between the parentheses.<br>To save it and exit from the formula editor, click on the save icon with the x in the upper right corner of the icon.<br>To insert the formula in the report, go Insert¦Formula, highlight the name, and double click and place the mouse where you want to put the formula. <p>Malcolm Wynden<br><a href=mailto:wynden@island.dot.net>wynden@island.dot.net</a><br><a href= > </a><br>
