In a Word document I'm unable to view the footer. It's just not their. I do have Print Layout selected. If I go to Print Preview it appears. Also, the footer will print.
Your document could be corrupt. A document corruption first menifests itself in the Header and the Footer.
Try this:
Go to the very end of the document. Hit the delete key, and keep it pressed for a few seconds. Release. Hit the backspace key to delete the very last character of the document (I do this to be sure) and re-type it.
Save the document. See if the Footer reappears.
If that doesn't work:
Delete all section breaks, then select all but the last
paragraph mark and Copy/Paste into a new document.
When I move a file that is saved on my hard drive and put them into the (R)drive we share in the office, and call it up on another machine in the office - all is OK, you can view the footer .....so it is definitely something on my machine.
If the file was corrupt wouldn't other computers have the same problems??
All of the computers are printing to the same printer and the margins are the same.
I deleted the Normal.dot file and replaced it with one from other machine. This didn't seem to work. I guess maybe I should reload Office, unless you have some other suggestions. I really don't want to reload...
