All the font on my pc has changed for no reason. I have checked all the settings, and they are all set to the standard settings. My fonts are all still loaded in the fonts folder also. The font looks similar to Courier or something very boxy looking. I'm not sure what caused it. I've run all the virus software and spy ware software, which found nothing. Any ideas?

Have you rebooted? Sometimes, it is a memory issue. This used to happen a lot on Windows 9x systems.

Have you tried using System Restore?

Try Safe Mode (Do you have this problem in Safe Mode?).

Try running ChkDsk to check your drive for errors. Right-click your Drive icon/ Properties/ Tools/ Error Checking. Select both boxes.

Run the System File Checker program from the Run Box by typing.....Sfc /Scannow in it and have your XP CD handy.

There may be a problem with the installed video driver. Check with the video adapter manufacturer for a possible video driver update

Did you run a registry cleaner, or a system cleaner that includes a registry component such as CCleaner?

Restore your registry from the backup the registry cleaner made.

Do a search for: *.htt

In paticular, make sure there is no such entry in the Fonts folder.

No leave them be. I was concerned about the Font folder.

Now search for *.hta

Running a Registry Cleaner is often a prelude before a repair install or even a clean install. Do you have any backups available that you can restore from?

For a few dollars this registry cleaner comes highly recommended.

If nothing seems to work you could try repairing windows by running it over itself. You will lose all your windows updates but your files will be untouched.

Do your fonts change if you switch to Classic view from the XP theme or vice versa?

How do they look in Safe Mode, or from Normal Mode, but as a different user?

If Safe Mode is OK that should give you something to explore.
