I posted earlier, about having problems with my SOundblaster PCI128. I decided to try installing Windows ME instead of 98. It helped with the freezing problem. It no longer freezes on boot and it shows no conflicts. But the card just does not work. No sound at all.

Any ideas? I appreciate the help!

Does the card not show up in Device Manager?

You might want to boot into safe mode and see if the sound card is listed in Device Manager there. Check to see if there are multiple drivers installed. If there are, delete all of the drivers (don't leave any behind) and reboot. THen Me will install a driver for your sound.

That would be my first step.

Mary :)
