I have a customer that has 2 sites.

she has a user ( x333) that hits "follow me to" types in a number on the other site(x444) and then heads over there...

on 3.2 the call would go back to her voicemail (x333) as to be expected with the Docs. After an upgrade to 5.0(24) the call rings indefinitely. I set up a simular Follow-me senario on 6.1 in my office and it does the same thing.

anyone know if there is anything to be done? or is this just a change in how follow-me works ( BTW on the same switch follow-me still follows correctly to the origonal targets Voicemail) ...

I have already warned them that we may just need to retrain her to do something different ( like hot desk)

Follow me is not asupported feature in a SCN.
You need to do a forward.

forwarding will should work on all versions but if you have the advanced scn licence hot desking would give the customer a more flexible and superior solution once the user has been suitably re-trained.

advanced SCN license is obsolete is it not?

I shouldnt need it in 5.0 should I?


forwarding does the same thing RNA

I am having them hotdesk ,the user is complainning that this is SO much more work
I sent them an email with pictures of the phone it is 5 steps ... esh.

 
Build a shortcode for the hotdesking.
#XXX ( 3 digit extension)
