folder redirection

I'm having issues redirecting the my documents folder for specific users.

I have a windows 2000 server and multiple xp pro workstations. I have added an OU in active directory users and computers. I than have added two users to that OU. Now one of the users I have configured as a roaming user and I would like to redirect the my documents folder because it takes forever to login. Now if I'm correct I just right click the ou container where my users are click on group policy and make a new one and navigate to:
User Configuration
Windows Settings
Folder Redirection
I than right click my documents set it to basic with the path to my share like so: \\server\share\%username%

the thing is that I can't tell that my documents is being redirected,, every time I check the share on the server I see no folders. Please help if you can.. thx

If you read the description in my Documents, it should say "On Line" if they are redirected

Well it doesn't say "on line" and I figured it didnt' work because I see no data in the share that's supposed to house the redirected folders. So I've found just about every step by step direction on how to set this up and I still can't figure out what I'm doing wrong. I have the user in a group the group in an OU and a policy on the OU that redirects the My Documents folder to \\server\share\%username% ,,, I've heard that permissions could be the problem but the roaming profile I use the user is a domain admin. and everyone has full control of the share. Any suggestions on what I'm doing wrong?
