Members maybe this is an administrator mistake that I'm making or maybe not. I'm trying to imply folder redirection on the my documents folder on some users in my network. Now I started by testing using my own My Documents folder first. A couple of issues I came across.
1st) My documents do go to the Docs share that I created on the file server the only problem is that they are not going into the user folder of the user. I have checked my network path under the group policy and it is eneter like this
\\server name\share\%username%
2nd When my documents are directed there if you are to delete anything from the share folder they also delete from the my documents folder on the desktop, this ia also the case if the gropu policy in not applied also.
If anyone can give a little help that would be great.
Thanks....

Is this 2000 server machine, active directory? (forum96 might be better place for question if it is). Can you clarify exactly what you're doing/trying to do? If you redirect My Documents to another location and then delete files from that location - yes they will go from My Documents (because My Documents is just a logical pointer to an actual physical location - ie, the share in this instance).

Using a registry edit, or how?

Is this a Domain or Workgroup LAN?

If Domain, have you enabled Roaming Profiles?

What exactly is the second part of the path:
\\server name\share\%username%
