Well, so far it only applies to Administrators and Domain admins. In the userenv.log file, there is a message:

ProcessGPOs: Extension Folder Redirection ProcessGroupPolicy failed, status 0x51b.

And I can't find any details on this error on Microsoft's site.

Authenticated users have read and apply policy permissions.

(If I change a user to a Domain Admin temporarily, it works.)

The rest of the GPO is being applied, just not the folder redirection.

Ideas anyone?

Daniel.

make sure authenticated users have the read/execute/list conents NTFS permissions on the folder being redirected to

also I think the system needs write permission on the above folder if you are trying to do the %username% command

I didn't get any error message's I think but my GPO's didn't work until i gave all my worstation a default DNS server IP# equal to the domain server/DNS IP#. (in my case these were the same and had the same IP# therefore.)

Maybe you already did this but I thought it might be the problem.

Thanks for the replies. It was a folder permission error. System access was available, however Authenticated Users also needs to have Create Folders/Append Data privelege.

I was so blinded yesterday I didn't notice.

Daniel.
