Floopy seek in start up

How do you disable floppy seek during start up in windows xp pro? Thanks.
 
That setting should be in your system BIOS, not Windows.
 
Antivirus programs often seek out floppies when mounted. I know Norton does this by default. You can disable it in options.

Please always take the time to backup any and all data before performing any actions suggested for ANY problem, regardless of how minor a change it might seem. Also test the backup to make sure it is intact.
 
It could be done in Win98se in the advanced tab of My Computer Properties.
