I 'd like to take a flash movie as background in my homepage, but I don't know how. When I use a flash movie with Dreamweaver it jumps in the front. Maybe if I can change it to a gif. But I don't know how. Please help me!

Flash movies can be made to be transparent, but that will only work with IE and not with NS. Furthermore, no matter where you put it (divisions, layers, what have you...), it will allways appear as being on top of other layers, and will thus interfere with other html elements such as sliding menus & the sort. Best thing is to design your page so that your Flash movie doesn't overlap any other stuff, and once again that will only work with IE.

What are the correct dimentions for making your flash movie the background to your homepage? would it be like 800x600?

Since 800x600 is the most common resolution (shudders at the thought of those poor souls), go with a these approximate Flash dimensions..760x420 - It allowa for toolbar, scrollbars, what have you..

Or you can do it a little bigger and strip the toolbars, etc with javascript.. up to you.
