I would not recommend it. There is a chipset that has "elastic memory" where it expands based on the requirements of the set. SIP F/W requires that chipset. I would recommend you not try, but the on the flip side, the brans are in the phone to do that.
Thanks for the feedback. I would be willing to try as we have an Asterisk-based system and so need SIP phones. Trouble seems to be that when you opt to do a firmware upgrade in MiNet mode, the filenames being looked for do not match those in the SIP firmware kits.
