I have client who is purchasing a new MICS 6.0 and is looking to upgrade their existing Flash voicemail. What are the steps to upgrading their existing Flash? Do I need to reprogram the entire VoiceMail? Thanks for the help.

YUP SURE DO PLUG IN NEW CART AND START PROGRAMING OLD ROLMEN WORKING ON NORTELS

Flash s/w 1.9 will work with MICS 6.0, so the flash can be upgraded and not lose any info. BUT... the flash has to be upgraded before the MICS otherwise the flash will not come up.
Assuming you have a 2 or 4 port Flash, unplug the travel cord from the MICS station port and then use F**XFTEST to remove the existing feature codes. Then power down the Flash and change to the new s/w card. After powering up the unit you may have to use F903 and password config to choose the feature code range. Then login using F983 with the appropriate password and all of the pre-existing info should still be there.
I say this only because I have had it happen both ways, having to re-initialize the flash and also upgrading and just having to go in with F983. Good luck
