I asked this question in the ASP forum and didn't get much reponse. Thought I'd try over here.

I've got a client with an ASP/VBScript site who wants music to be added. I know I could add the exported music swf to each page, but the problem is obviously that the loop would start over with each page load. Is there a way with an html site to have a site wide music loop that runs seemlessly from one page to the next?

I know IFrames are one option, but I'd like to avoid them if possible.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Thanks,
Micah

Hi Micah,

The only way that I know to accomplish a site-wide uninterrupted sound loop in an HTML site is to use frames or IFrames. If you refresh or change pages, then all the attached resources will also refresh and restart. I would go with the IFrames option.

You could also try a pop under window, but they are generally considered to be in poor taste and would be blocked by most current pop-up blockers. I would think that a traditional frame would work better though.

Wow JT that almost looked like you knew what you were doing!

I guess by going with the IFrame, the worst that could happen is the site doesn't have music for those browsers that can't handle the I. I'll give that a shot.

Thanks all!!!
Micah
