FLASH HOOK GIVES ME DIAL TONE ONLY

On our Astra 470 sets, we have a "flash" button that only gives dial tone...For the life of me, I cant get it to connect on an incoming call while on a call....Any help?

Here's the manual for the sets. Is the Flash field marked 'y' on the station form?

Yes, I checked that...We also have feature access codes that I thought would allow, once the flash as hit, to hit the code number and use flash hook as a "call waiting" button...Didnt work.....thx for your response...

It sounds like the FLASH Timer is to short, try making the timer longer.

Did you try doing "flash" by using the switchhook? If that works, then PERRYPJ may be right. The timing on the switchhook flash for the phone may be too short.
