This is the first time I have tried to install SCO 5.0.6 I put the CD in and boot up and start the installation. I get to the point I need to type in the license number, code, and data. I type it in and I get the following error:

invalid serialization : not installable

I must be missing something. But the info is typed off the original Certificate of Authenticity so I am sure that is not the problem. Anyone know what I need to do? or should try?

I presume what you are entering only one license code. If you have additional user or multi-processor licenses, do not enter them during the install.

Is it possible you have mistaken one character for another, such as the number 0 and the letter O, or the number 1 and the letter l?

Are you using the exact upper or lower case as shown on the certificate?

It is my experience that the Data field is blank for the initial license. Are you leaving it blank?

Spaces typed at the beginning or end could also interfere with the serialization process.
