Definity G3CSi - Version 9 software

I have 3 identical boards that were designated for firmload downloads last night. This morning two of the three show the newly corrected FW version while the third does not. I don't think it was a time issue as the board in question was the 1st on the list on my 'firmware download' page. My 'test firmware download' command indicated a 'pass' condition.

Is there anywhere in PBX logs or history that might show me why this board was not updated.

You can put in the "status firmware download" command and see if it did load. You can also "disp bo xxxxx" and see if the system has upgraded it.

Status command shows nothing pending or failed or aborted.

I know that the board was not upgraded using the
'list config board XXXXX' command which shows that the FW version was not updated.

Were all 3 boards the same HW/FW version to begin with? For example if you had 3 medpros and 2 were v95, and one was v77 and you tried to upgrade all 3 at the same time could that have caused the issue?

Test firmware download, only tells you if it is possible to do the download, now why it failed.

Seemed like there was also a time limit you could set on these. Was this scheduled during the maint window? maybe that caused the conflict.

This document might shead some light.

Board in use was my first guess, however the download was scheduled to take place beginning @ 2:00AM. My hope was that there would be NO activity at that time.

If there are no logs to reference, I guess my plan of attack would be to schedule this board again.

The nightly maintenance routines are usually scheduled during the late night hours. Wonder if their may have been some sort of a conflict with it?

Good call, that must be it. maint 'save translations' finished @ 2:03AM. Would also explain why the others finished afterwards.

Will check the schedule this time for a different window.

Thanks again.
