Firmware download on VAL - File never shows up in ASA

Current Environment:

TN2501AP HW2 FW008
G3si running Communication Manager 2.1.1 software

What's happening:

I'm trying to upgrade the firmware release to FW18. I've enabled the file system, ftp'd the file to both the root(dir \ from the ftp prompt) and when that didn't work I even tried putting it where I landed upon ftp login

I then do a list directory board 01A09 and no files are present.

What am I missing here?

Sorry I found my problem...I'm an idiot.

In FTP after going into binary mode (with a bin command) I was typing

cd \

Which didn't give me an error or anything...

I discovered the proper syntax is:

cd /

Just in case anyone else runs into this!
