Hi,

Setup: ISA 2K on Win2K Server. Domain users use firewall client. ISA server on client is set via IP not dns.

Problem: At random intervals, the Firewall
Clients cannot connect to the isa server. After a couple of minutes clients refresh again and connect without any service restart taking place. This happens from 1 to 3 times daily.

Eventlog shows no errors whatsoever and DNS Works fine. It seems like ISA Server slows down for a couple of minutes...

Any ideas?

Thanks, Nich

I have found numerous problems with the ISA client.
I usually remove it altogether.

It is not necessary for normal use unless your client machines are running odd software that accesses the internet.

For normal web browsing, just make sure the proxy settings are correct.
