I believe thing like browesrs and o/s' follow a simple rule...the bigger they are, the harder fall.
If all of a sudden Linux and Firefox we're to become as big as MS, then you'd suddenly see loads more exploits of these products being exposed. After all, why target a system no ne uses?
Along with faster connections, more pc's being networked, it will get worse. If this were not the case, why are are more Linux Viri, worms and exploits being discovered as the OS grows insize?
How many of us had Viri, worms and expoits for our C64's, BBC Micro B's and ZX Spectrums? Were these more secure than MS2 XP, I doubt it.
