Finding local Ip

well, i'm really new in vb and i would like to create an application in which i could have a button that when i click on it, it shows me the ip address and send it to my e-mail

one way would to be make a winsock control and then link this to command button

msgbox winsock1.LocalIP

that tells your your local ip

Your vb program can't tell if you are connected to any computer, or a router, or the internet, so the best thing you can do is to go to myip.com and they will tell you your ip address.
