I work on a helpdesk and we frequently have to reset users passwords who cannot get logged in. What is the best way to find out a users correct Context in NWAdmin without having to search from the [root]? We have many contexts in our tree and searching from [root] takes a VERY long time. The big problem is that searching one context at a time takes a really long time as well. Is there a better way? Like using some DOS command or something to find out someone's correct context?

The NDS at my place of work has a tad under 29,000 users in it.

The best thing I find is to load NetWare Administrator, select the top level Organization or Organizational Unit, and run a search based on a Search for value of "User" and a property of "None". This will basically give you a list of all user objects in your NDS and although it may take 5 minutes to run, you can keep the Window open all day with all your users listed. When a customer gives you their User ID, you can pick it out easily and do whatever you need to do to it without searching the NDS all of the time.

Dude, that is fantastic! I showed this to my coworkers and my manager and they loved it. This is going to save us much poking around and searching individual contexts!

Thank you very much!
