Find longest string in text field (e.g. surname)

Hi,
Can someone tell me how to go about finding the longest string in a text field - in this case, I want to know which is the longest surname in the Surname field?

In a new query, include this expression:

=len([YourField])


Sort by that field, descending. Tyrone Lumley

If you are doing this in a query, create a new field the field:

LongestName: len([Surname])

Then, sort Descending on this field and the longest name will appear first.
