Find .doc based on the Text input

Dear Experts,

I have a problem on how to find document file based on the textbox input. Let say i have 2002-8-08 input on the form then when i click the find button it will call the 2002-8-08 filename document format and display it in the msword. I need help? How is that.....

Hallo,

You can use Shell to start MS Word, and you can specify a document to open, template to open or macro to run.

Look at Shell and the command line paramneters in Word for more details, but if you want to open a file in word, just do something like:

Shell "C:\Program Files\Microsoft Office\Winword.exe C:\My Documents\" & Me!txtDocumentName

You'll have to use the correct path to winword and your file but you should get the idea.
