I have created a Player DB for a Little League. I have figured out how to add a player if he or she is not on the list. The problem I have is I am using dlookup and I have no problem looking up the player and all their information, except it adds it to a new record or Player_ID. Basically I have a Player_ID (auto_number), LastName, FirstName, Address, etc... There is probably an easy fix. All I want to do is to be able to update existing player information and be able to add new players from the same form. Any help would be greatly appreciated. D.

Hi!

I'm not sure I completely understand your problem, but, if you are just searching for existing players, the "Find a record on my form..." type combobox should do.

In the forms design view, create a new combobox using the wizard. In the first step of the wizard, select "Find a record on my form..." Select the fields you wanna see in the combo, and finish.

This would simply display the selected player without adding any information, providing the possibility to edit the fields.

If this is not the solution you desire, or perhaps the "Find a record.." alternative is not available, post back with more description of what the challenge is.
