I am working in CR 8. Is there any hope of filtering on a running total? For example, if RunningTotalofSumA > 0 then print the group footer.

Assumming the value of A is not zero or negative, this will always happen. What are you trying to do exactly? Are you trying to exclude certain groups? More detail please.

You can't really 'filter' on an RT because the filtering happens long before the RTs are calculated. But you can create the illusion of filtering by suppressing the GH for groups that don't meet your criteria. The data is still there in memory, but you don't see it.

Sorry didn't clarify enough for anyone to really help me.

My whole report is a group footer . . . everything else is suppressed. The group I have is the unique file number which contains this running total. My running total answer will always be either 0 or 1.

Need to print or not print the entire group footer based on my running total answer.

Is there a conditional printing formula which allows me to do this? If so how do I establish it around my footer?

Go into the section expert (format section) and highlight this section. There is a suppress property that can be given a condition.
