filling the blank cell

i have an table first of all. field1 is number .. sometimes one or more cells in field1 are empty.. now I want to fill the empty cells with the number above ..

after this, i have to combine the explanation cells (field2) of which the number are same. I used to do this in excel with concatenate but my data is too big.

could you help me please :)
 
I sounds to me like you need to normalize your tables. If you have tables with blank fields and are talking about copying data from the above fields(Duplication) then you need to relook at the design. Relational databases(Access) are not intended to be used this way.
