I have been having a problem since installing Windows XP Pro with files and folders becoming inaccessible or "locked up". You can not move or delete the files and at times we get locked out of folders altogether and the only way to get back into the folder is to reboot.
This is happening most frequently over a Novel Network, but also happens on local drives when the following process is followed (this is just an example of the error we are receiving)....
Create a new folder somewhere called "test"
Copy a few files into that folder.
Delete 1 of those files.
Now try to delete the entire "test" folder.
This problem is becoming very annoying and I have had no luck finding a fix. I have tried "taking ownership" of the files as suggested in a few forums, but that did not help.
Thank you in advance for your help.
