I'm thinking about allowing users to upload their own code to my site ( turning the site into somewhat of a developer community kinda deal. However, I do not want viruses to be distributed through this site (.zip files, re-written .exe's, etc...), and I do not have time for manual administration (checking each upload individually and scanning it).

Are there any API's (for web) out there that enable you to scan uploaded files for viruses? I'm storing them in SQL, so there's no file io stuff happening.

Ideas? Suggestions?

Atomic: Good question, can't help you with that, but would like to say you have a very professional looking site, well done - I registered while I was there -- I think its a good idea to get others to upload routines, etc.. will make the site more robust. I'm sure you'll find something, someone will come by with an idea, regarding scanning for viruses. I look forward to seeing your site grow.

Thanks Isadore...

Aaaalmost want to give you a star just for the positive feedback ;) I'm hoping that it will grow - just hard to find time to work on it after work :p
