We have a small network of computers in the office. 3 Win XP Pro and 2 Windows 2000. File sharing works just great between all of them, except mine. When you click on a computer in my network places, the user and password box pops up and you enter the info and your in. If any one of the other machines try to access mine (XP machine) the little computer in my network places will open right up and display my shared folders. (It doesn't ask for a password and it should) However, when you click on a shared resource (except for printers) It will give you the "you do not have sufficient privlage box". It will only work if you have "everyone" in permissions and I have removed that from all of the machines. We only want our work group to have access. It works fine on all the other machines, except mine. Any ideas.
Thanks.

Make sure that the Guest Account is disabled, The guest account would give people access to you machine, but would only give access to files and folders specified with Guest Rights or Everyone Rights.

Disabling the quest account is the first thing that I do. It acts just like an invisible folder is shared to "everyone". I am going to enable it in the registry and then disable it and see what that does.

Problem Solved!!!
The guest user account was disabled when it was viewed in the control panel/user accounts area, however it was showing as enabled in the administrative tools/local security policy area. I disabled it there and all is well again. I only encountered this once before and had forgotten to check there.
