After installing XP Sp2 the information displayed in the pop up bubble when you mouse over a file has changed. Pre Sp2 it would show type, date modified and size on both local (C:) and network (server) files. Now after installing Sp2, it will only show this info on local files. On network files it only displays type and size, no date modified. View details and options has no affect on this "feature". I've looked in the local security settings with no luck either. I assume something in the registry has changed. Any ideas? I have a user that would refer to date modified when searching for files in adobe 6 and this new "feature" has affected it as well. Thanks in advance.

Yes I have. It took me a while to figure out that Sp2 was causing the problem. But unfortunately, the problem is the same with firewall off or on. Thanks for the reply.

Thanks for the link. Tried your suggestion but still my network files, on both netware 6.5 and 2003 server, only show type and size. My folder info is showing the files inside the folder though. But your saying you have XP w/XP Sp2 installed and your network files show date modified as well? I've looked at 15 different pc's that I have and all are behaving the same way, after the sp2 install. I just doubled checked for the second time (does that make 4 times?)on an unpatched pc, shows date modified, install Sp2, stops showing date modified. Any other thoughts?

Yea!!!! It worked. I can't tell you what a releif it is to have this problem solved. Thank you very much for taking the time and effort to help provide me with the answer. I owe you a beer:). I've been talking to others about this same problem and will pass along your solution. Thanks again.
