I have a Dell NAS device which runs 2000 Server.

For some reason I have a whole directory structure for which the only user that has full control is a local user rather than a domain user. When I try and log on as the local user, I get a terminal services error telling me that "the terminal server has exceeded the maximum number of allowed connections". I can log as the local or domain administrator OK.

Because it is a NAS device, I have no console to log on to.

How the heck can I reset these permissions?!

logging on as administrator grab ownership of the path, resetting permissions all the way down. you can then add administrators group to the NTFS permissions granting you full control again!
