Within the past few weeks, I've noticed a new, annoying behavior on my system. Regardless of the program, whenever I attempt to access a file location on my local machine or network, Windows "hesitates" for many, many, many seconds before reporting back the directory and contents. On frequent occassins, after I've clicked the folder or moved the slider, I'll see a "Not-Responding" message atop the blue Location Bar. Suddenly, the system will jump into life and bring up the folder location I'm trying to navigate to. This behavior is particularly noticeable and annoying when I'm saving a file or searching for a file to open. I suspect this has something to do with comminucating between my local machine and a Samba server, but, the behavior also happens when I'm searching on my local machine.
Has anyone experienced any similar behavior on your networks and were you able to diagnose the cause and solution?
Knock and the door will be opened to you; Seek and you will find; Ask and it will be given to you!![[peace] [peace] [peace]](/data/assets/smilies/peace.gif)
