Does anyone know where I can find table and field descriptions for inventory?

You can do a desc on the table from SQL or you can look in the data dictionary which will be somewhere in the documentation that came with Ellipse.
Tables:
MSF100 - Stock Code - global catalogue
MSF170 - District Inventory
MSF180 - Warehouse Inventory
