Hello all,

I'm having an issue that roaming profiles don't get deleted properly on my citrix servers because files are in use.

Every morning I log into all my servers to make sure profiles have been deleted, I check windows profiles and see all are gone. However when I go into c:\docs and settings I usually see 4 or 5 directories still there. I try to delete them and I get an error saying "file in use" Usually it's the files in
C:\Documents and Settings\%username%\Local Settings\Temp\1

How can I tell what these files are? How can I force it to stop using the files and delete them anyway?

I went into computer management and looked at "open files" to see what was open and none of those show up. Can anyone help? Thanks!

I have a feeling these hung files are causing other minor problems for me on the Servers.

Chambers,
I have that problem as well and usually if you reboot the server you can always delete the profile when it comes up. I've installed the UserProfileHiveCleaner (UPHCleaner) from Microsoft.
That's actually helped me out a lot. It closes out any open handles when a roaming profile is logging off the citrix server. Sometimes some files don't close down which causes the profile not to unload. Then you try 2 delete it and it says "file in use". Usually its the system using it so you can't really see it in the open files console.

Hope this help!

I will install that software this weekend and test it out all next week, thanks for the quick reply! If this works, a star for you!! :)
