I am looking for a tool on the mainframe to help expand fields on files which are used
across our system. Does anybody have any to recommend?

yes, there is a good tool, but working at a conversion shop and/or on a pc, so you have to download your sources. After an automatic(!) conversion, you upload the sources again and the generated expansion utilities. The tool is superb, from Cornerstone. Mailto: corn@wsx.nl of look at [sig][/sig]
