Hi,

I know how file audits work. However, I have some special needs here and I don't know what could be the solution.

A department needs a special folder with audits on it. They want to have a log for almost anything that any user does in that directory - and they need to look at the logs by themselves.

Now, files audits goes in the Security log of the Event Viewer. I could export that log and send it to them, but I don't want them to see all the security logs of the server. Is there any way to get a log of only the audits of some directory (I don't care if the log is a text file or anything else)? Or any third party that enables this?

Thank you,

There are scripts on the Microsoft website for exporting the logs....there may also be one to only export with specific criteria as you mention.
