Hi, Does anyone know how to check/uncheck the "File and Printer Sharing for Microsoft Network" without me loging into 100 machines running vista or Xp? I've been doing my research for the last 3 days but so far I haven't had any luck. There are a lot of suggestion on how to enable/disable the "File and Print Sharing" under the Exceptions tab of Windows Firewall but I can't find anything for the Local area network properties. The service is installed. I just want to be able to check and uncheck it remotely via registry or script or group policy. Can someone help? Thanks!

I tested the suggestion on the first link and it doesn't seem to work. I don't have a Network key so I created it and created the NoPrintSharing DWord with the value of 1. After I rebooted the machine, file and printer sharing is still "checked" and I'm still able to connect to it via unc path. As far as the third link, I'm not quite sure what is it. Any help will be appreciated.

Here is the correct link, the original one did not resolve properly because of the word "thread" in it, which Tek-Tips hijacks as its own link, and therefore took you to some obscure page. Copy and Paste the URL in to your Browser.

This talks about snetcfg.exe
enable/disable file and printer sharing
