I may be posting this in the wrong forum, but:

I have a field with format: >000000LLLL00

If the field is entered incorrectly I get the generic message "The value you entered isn't appropriate for the input mask '>000000LLLL00'

I would like to put something meaningful to the user. I can't figure out where to put the message.
