Field / Rectangle Stretching On Reports 1

I have two memo fields in a report (one followed by the other) as such:

My problem is that when the user types in lengthy comments, either the text doesn't print to the follow pages and / or
the recatangles mess up.

The easiest solution is to just do away with the rectangles, but I would like to keep them if possible.

I've tried all combinations of STRETCH on the memo field(s) as well as the rectangle box.

Here's a little trick that should solve your problem. When you have two or more stacked fields that can 'stretch with overflow', put a "white (invisible) line" between the two fields, positioning it from the left edge of the report to the right edge of the report. In the PrintWhen of the line, check 'float'. Everything below the line will be shifted down the page because of the floating line.

Actually, that does not affect the BOX around my second memo field.


The memo fields print fine, but the box on around them doesn't align properly.
