Hello,
We have an Option 11C and have added an expansion cabinet with a fibre receiver card. The problem is none of the other cards in the expansion cabinet are working, 2 NT8D09CA and 1 NT8D02HA, red light is on. The fibre card seems to be working , the link is up can do login from the expansion cabinet serial port.

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

Is there anything programmed on the cards? Can you stat and enable the cards? Tell us what you have done to trouble shoot. What does the link light for the cabinets look like? Is it green.

I have programmed a 3902 on the NT8D02HA and an analog phone on one of the NT8D09CA. I have tried to stat the cards and the out put was this for the NT8D02HA

.stat 15
00 = UNIT 00 = DSBL (3902)
01 = UNIT 01 = UNEQ
02 = UNIT 02 = UNEQ
03 = UNIT 03 = UNEQ
04 = UNIT 04 = UNEQ
05 = UNIT 05 = UNEQ
06 = UNIT 06 = UNEQ
07 = UNIT 07 = UNEQ
08 = UNIT 08 = UNEQ
09 = UNIT 09 = UNEQ
10 = UNIT 10 = UNEQ
11 = UNIT 11 = UNEQ
12 = UNIT 12 = UNEQ
13 = UNIT 13 = UNEQ
14 = UNIT 14 = UNEQ
15 = UNIT 15 = UNEQ
16 = UNIT 16 = UNEQ
17 = UNIT 17 = UNEQ
18 = UNIT 18 = UNEQ
19 = UNIT 19 = UNEQ
20 = UNIT 20 = UNEQ
21 = UNIT 21 = UNEQ
22 = UNIT 22 = UNEQ
23 = UNIT 23 = UNEQ
24 = UNIT 24 = UNEQ
25 = UNIT 25 = UNEQ
26 = UNIT 26 = UNEQ
27 = UNIT 27 = UNEQ
28 = UNIT 28 = UNEQ
29 = UNIT 29 = UNEQ
30 = UNIT 30 = UNEQ
31 = UNIT 31 = UNEQ

I did try enabling the card but nothing happens, tried enabling the unit with phone status changes to IDLE but card light still red and phone still dead.

When i stat the NT8D09CA

stat 18
00 = UNIT 00 = DSBL (L500)
01 = UNIT 01 = UNEQ
02 = UNIT 02 = UNEQ
03 = UNIT 03 = UNEQ
04 = UNIT 04 = UNEQ
05 = UNIT 05 = UNEQ

09 = UNIT 09 = UNEQ
10 = UNIT 10 = UNEQ
11 = UNIT 11 = UNEQ
12 = UNIT 12 = UNEQ
13 = UNIT 13 = UNEQ
14 = UNIT 14 = UNEQ
15 = UNIT 15 = UNEQ

When i try to enable the card I NPR326 error. When I enable the unit status changes to IDLE and light remains red on the card.

In the expansion the fibre card the top led is off, the SDI light is off and the fbr light is green. In the main unit on the SSC card the port 1 light is green and the port 3 light is yellow or orange. The fibre card on the SSC is a NTDK4AA.

I have also tried putting the cards in the main cabinet and they do work.

Is this the first exp. cab?
Are you using a single or dual port exp. daughterboard?

Yes it is the first expansion cabinet.
The daughterboard is dual port.

Try to enable 25 and 28 instead of 15 and 18.

Trying to enable 25 or 28 gives LOOP DSBL. When i perform idc 15 i get NT8D02HA 01 NNTMENC7X8FW 0803. when i try 18 i get NPR327 error.
The Number inside the cabinet is NTAK11BD.

is the dual port D/B on the top or bottom connection on the SSC card and what port is the fiber plugged in to??

Make sure the db is plugged into the top connection on the ssc card and the fiber is plugged into the top ports on the db.

The D/B is in the 1st Expansion Daughterboard connection. Fiber is plugged in port 1.

you have a bad card I would think, I would guess the fiber D/B or the fiber Rec card

Is there any other way to verify if either of the cards is good?

have you tried any of the other slot other than 15 and 17 or are those acting the same. if this is the case, then you could have a bad backplane as well.

I have come across another cabinet, same model, I am going to try it and post my results.

Other cabinet has same result as previous cabinet. Is there something i was supposed to configure, all I did was create the tty on the exp. cab.

can you post your cinv and fil

ld 22
req=prt
type cinv
and
ld 135
stat fil
