Feel dumb today - Need help on calculating % 2

I'm trying to figure out how to get the percentage of the cost per unit( markup %)


D2 E2 F2
Cost per Unit Selling Price Markup %
0.31 .60 =(E2-D2) will get me profit number but not the percent.

hope it makes sense

Always small number divided by large.

One more thing if I may,

if cell say F2 has formula you game =d2/e2 then I drag the cell copying the values to F3 down to F4 and F5 and so on I get #DIV/0! on the cell where there's no reference ( I understand that)

The question is, is is possible not to show the "#DIV/0!" sort of error when other cells are blank?

Here's a formula you might find useful...

=IF(AND(D2<>&quot;&quot;,E2=0),1,IF(E2=0,&quot;&quot;,D2/E2))

If column E is 0 or blank, but there is a value in column D, then this formula will show a 100% increase.

If column both D and E are 0 or blank, then the formula will return BLANK.

Sorry all, but I thought that markup was a percentage increase of the unit cost for selling price.

So markup is

(E2-D2)/D2

in this case.
