FCE'ing to PBXs, need to assign new extension numbers

I am in the process of doing an FCE project and will merge 5 systems into 1. As I do this I am changing the dial plan to a 7 digit extension. The master system is already 7 digits and all of the other systems are either a 4 digit or 5 digit dial plan. I have no issues with the digital or analog stations to assign new extensions since I have the old extension and port, I can assign a new extension to the port and everything comes up with out a problem. My problem that I am seeing is one of my sites has about 2000 46xx series phones that I need to change to the new numbering plan. I really do not want to have to walk around and re log them in with the new number. Does any one know of a way to do this in the Avaya world. In the cisco world if you have the MAC address you can set the extension number on the download server and the phone set will pick to the correct extension.

The CM is 6.0

Looking for ideas or suggestions. If I can avoid visiting every desk that would be great.

I know this is probably not what you want to hear , but im pretty sure there is nothing you can do except send a mail out to users with a short descriptive on how to log off and on and provide them with the new extn , hope somebody can else can prove me wrong , I was thinking about changing settings in the 46xx settings file but cant see anything obvious , One thing you could try is to put one phone on a different firmware version and see if it remembers its extension"i think it will" if it does not , then the users can be provided with the extension and do it again themselves at least that is simpler than logging off and on.
